Twitter Analyzer

Recent posts, cadence, content mix and the top performers from any public X account.

How it works

What is the Twitter Analyzer?

The Twitter Analyzer is a free tool that reads the recent posts of any public X account and sums them up. It shows average likes, reposts, replies and views per original post, how often the account posts, how its posts split between text, photos, video, replies, quotes and links, and the five posts with the most interactions.

How to use the Twitter Analyzer

  1. Enter an account in the X handle field. The @ is optional, and a profile link such as x.com/hyperank works too.
  2. Press Analyze profile. The tool reads the account's recent posts and leaves out its reposts of other people.
  3. Read the profile type at the top, Writer, Conversationalist, Visual, Curator or Commentator, and the sentence that says why it was chosen.
  4. Check Averages per original post, Posting cadence and Content mix to see what the account posts and how those posts land.
  5. Open the top five posts by interactions to see which posts did best, with their likes, reposts and views.

What does a Twitter analyzer show you?

Likes, reposts, replies and views are averaged over the account's original posts, so a run of short replies does not drag the numbers down. Engagement rate here is interactions per view: likes, reposts, replies, quotes and bookmarks added together, divided by the post's views.

Posting cadence gives posts per day and per week, the typical gap between posts and the span of days the sample covers. Content mix counts how many recent posts were text only, carried a photo or a video, replied to someone, quoted a post or linked out.

What do the profile types mean?

Each account gets one label, from the first rule it matches. More than 40% of recent posts are replies: Conversationalist. Most original posts carry a photo or a video: Visual. Close to a third of posts link somewhere else: Curator. A large share quote other posts: Commentator. Anything else is a Writer, an account whose posts are mostly plain text.

The label is a quick read on how an account uses X. Compare it with the top posts: if the posts that did best are a different type from what the account mostly posts, that gap is worth acting on.

How do I analyze a Twitter account for free?

Enter the handle here and press Analyze profile. It works for your own account and for any other public account, so you can read a competitor or an account you admire the same way you read yours.

Run the same handle again after a month of changes, such as more video or fewer replies, and compare the averages and the content mix. The top posts list shows which of those changes the audience responded to.

Questions

How do I check my Twitter analytics?
X shows the view count on each of your posts, and its Analytics section adds detail for the account owner, such as profile visits. To read the public side of any account, including yours, enter the handle in this Twitter Analyzer. It needs no sign-in to X.
Is followers analyzer for Twitter safe?
This analyzer asks only for a handle. It never asks for your X password or for access to your account, and it cannot post, follow or change anything. Be careful with any follower tool that wants you to log in with X and grant it permission to act for you.
What is the best free Twitter analytics tool?
For your own profile visits and post detail, X's built-in Analytics section. For any public account, yours or a competitor's, a free Twitter analyzer like this one shows average engagement per post, posting cadence, content mix and top posts from a handle alone.
