What is the Query Fan Out Generator?
The Query Fan Out Generator is a free tool that expands one seed keyword into about 20 related search queries. Each variant is labelled with a type, such as broad or exact, a search intent, a tier, and three scores from 0 to 1 for popularity, relevance and prominence. Use the scores to sort the variants against each other.
How to use the Query Fan Out Generator
- Type one seed phrase in Keyword, such as sitemap generator.
- Optionally enter a Country, such as United States, to steer the phrasing toward one market.
- Press Generate query fan out, then Sign up free to unlock to see the result.
- Read the table: each variant's type, intent, popularity, relevance, prominence and tier. The strip above it counts the variants in each tier.
- Press Download CSV to sort and filter the list in a spreadsheet.
What do the type and intent labels mean?
Type says how a variant relates to the seed: equivalent (the same meaning in other words), broad, phrase, exact or related. Intent says what the searcher wants: informational, commercial, transactional or navigational. The model assigns both.
Read together, they make the list usable. Twenty informational variants and no commercial ones describe a topic people research and rarely buy from. Several transactional variants point to a page that should show a price.
Does the country field change the results?
It changes the phrasing, not the data. Country is optional and is passed to the model as the target market, so the variants lean toward how that market words the product: its spelling, its terms, its place names.
Set it when you write for one market. Leave it empty when you want the general shape of a topic.
