What is the Instagram Bio Generator?

The Instagram Bio Generator is a free tool that writes profile bios for the people you want following you. Say what you are or do, who you want to reach and, if you like, what visitors should do, then pick a tone. It returns up to eight bios, each within Instagram's 150-character limit, with its count and a copy button.

How to use the Instagram Bio Generator

1. In What you are or do, give your role, business or what you make in a few words, such as wedding photographer in Jaipur.
2. In Who you want to reach, name the people you want following you. The bios are written for them.
3. Add What visitors should do if your link in bio leads somewhere, such as Book a call. The last line of each bio then points to it.
4. Pick a Tone: Clear, Friendly, Witty, Professional or Creator.
5. Press Generate bios, compare the options with their counts out of 150, and press Copy on the one you want.

What should you write in an Instagram bio?

What you do, who it is for, and what to do next. A visitor decides whether to follow in a few seconds, so the bio should answer those plainly: "Wedding photographer in Jaipur" says more than a line of adjectives.

The generator writes to that pattern, in up to three short lines. When you fill in What visitors should do, the last line sends people to your link, because the bio is where a profile visit turns into a click.

What is the Instagram bio character limit?

An Instagram bio holds up to 150 characters. Letters, spaces, line breaks and emoji all count toward it. Every bio here is kept inside that limit, and each shows its count so you can see how much room is left for your own edits.

Your links go in the separate Links field on Edit profile, which holds up to five, so a link never uses any of the 150.

Which bio tone should you pick?

Clear suits most accounts: plain words that say what you do. Friendly is warmer and more conversational. Witty adds a light line. Creator suits people who make content for an audience. Professional is for businesses and services that want to read as established, and it leaves emoji out.

The other tones use three emoji at most, so the words still carry the bio. No tone adds hashtags. If you are unsure, generate with two tones and keep the bio that says what you do most clearly.
