Instagram Reel Script Generator

Up to three Reel scripts with a hook, scenes, on-screen text and a caption.

How it works

What is the Instagram Reel Script Generator?

The Instagram Reel Script Generator is a free tool that writes up to three scripts for one Reel, each from a different angle. Describe the Reel and pick a length. Each script gives a hook for the first two seconds, numbered scenes with what is shown and said, on-screen text, a call to action and a caption.

How to use the Instagram Reel Script Generator

  1. In What the Reel is about, give the idea, tip or story the Reel covers, such as three mistakes new runners make.
  2. Add Who it is for if you want the script aimed at a particular viewer, such as beginner runners.
  3. Pick a Length: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds or 90 seconds.
  4. Press Write scripts. Each script is labelled with its angle.
  5. Read the Hook, Scenes, On-screen text, Call to action and Caption, then press Copy on the script you will film.

How do you write a script for an Instagram Reel?

Start with the hook, the first thing said or shown, because it decides whether people keep watching. Then plan the Reel shot by shot: what is on screen and what is said in each one. Add the words that appear on screen, the one thing you want viewers to do, and a short caption.

Every script here carries those five parts: Hook, Scenes, On-screen text, Call to action and Caption. The scenes are numbered, so you can film them one at a time and cut them together in the same order.

What makes a good Reel hook?

It works in the first two seconds, before anyone decides to swipe. A good hook names the problem, makes a bold claim or shows the result first, so the viewer knows straight away what they get for staying.

Each script opens with a hook written to that standard, and the scripts are written from different angles, so you can compare up to three openings for the same idea before you film one.

How long should an Instagram Reel be?

Long enough to deliver the idea and no longer. Instagram lets Reels run up to three minutes, but a single tip or a quick demonstration often lands in 15 to 30 seconds, while a short tutorial or a story may need 60 to 90.

Pick the length before you generate. Each script is written to run about that long when spoken at a natural pace, so the scenes and lines fit the time you chose.

Questions

How do I make a Reel script?
Write a hook for the first two seconds, list the shots in order with what is shown and said in each, add the on-screen text, a call to action and a caption. This generator writes all five parts for the Reel you describe.
Is there a free Instagram Reel script generator?
Yes. Once you have a free hyperank account, it writes up to three scripts for the Reel you describe, timed to 15, 30, 60 or 90 seconds, each with a hook, numbered scenes, on-screen text and a caption.
How long can an Instagram Reel be?
An Instagram Reel can be up to three minutes long. A Reel that shares one idea often fits in 15 to 60 seconds, so pick the length that fits what you have to say.
What should I put in the on-screen text of a Reel?
A few words that state the point of the Reel, so it makes sense to someone watching with the sound off. Each script here includes on-screen text written for the same idea as its hook.
