How it works
What is the Twitter Bio Generator?
The Twitter Bio Generator is a free AI tool that writes X profile bios for the people you want to reach. Enter your audience, what you do and a tone, and it returns up to eight bios, each within X's 160-character limit, with the character count shown and a copy button on each one.
How to use the Twitter Bio Generator
- In Who you want to reach, name your audience, such as indie founders or B2B marketers.
- In What you are, give your role or what you build in a few words.
- Pick a Tone: Clear, Witty, Technical, Founder or Creator.
- Add your X handle if you like. With a handle, the bios build on what your current bio says.
- Press Generate bios, read the options with their character counts, and press Copy on the one you want.
How do you write a good Twitter bio?
Say what you do, who it is for, and why someone should follow. A good bio answers those in one or two lines, with one piece of proof, such as a number, a past company or a result.
The generator writes to the same pattern. Each bio uses at most one hashtag, and emoji appear only with the Creator tone, one at most, so the words carry the bio.
What is the Twitter bio character limit?
An X bio holds up to 160 characters, a separate limit from the 280 characters of a post. Spaces and line breaks count toward it. Every bio here comes with its count so you can see the room left.
@mentions and #hashtags in a bio become links on your profile. Your website goes in its own field under the bio, so it does not use any of the 160.
Which tone should you pick?
Clear suits most people: plain words, no jokes to decode. Technical works for engineers and specialists who want the specifics up front. Founder leads with what you are building and why. Witty adds a light line. Creator suits people who make content for an audience, and is the only tone that allows an emoji.
If you are unsure, generate with two tones and compare, then pick the bio that says what you do most plainly.
Questions
- How to write a good Twitter bio?
- Write a good Twitter bio by saying what you do, who it is for and one piece of proof, within 160 characters. Leave out lists of hobbies and strings of hashtags. This generator writes up to eight to that pattern for the audience you name.
- How to make a Twitter bio multiple lines?
- Press Enter where you want a new line while editing your bio in Edit profile on X. Each line break counts as one character toward the 160-character limit.
- How to make Twitter bio text blue?
- X shows @mentions and #hashtags in a bio in its link colour, because they link to an account or a search. Plain text cannot be coloured, so to get blue text in your bio, mention an account or add a hashtag.
