How it works
What is the X Monetization Calculator?
The X Monetization Calculator is a free tool that models what an X audience could earn in a month, from your own numbers. Pick one of six ways to earn: services, sponsorships, affiliate, digital product, membership or X Subscriptions. Adjust the inputs, and it shows gross revenue, direct costs, contribution, margin and volume, with the formula.
How to use the X Monetization Calculator
- Pick a way to earn: Services, Sponsorships, Affiliate, Digital product, Membership or X Subscriptions.
- Change the inputs to your own numbers. Each starts with an example value, and percentages and dollar amounts are marked.
- Read Gross revenue, Direct costs, Contribution, Margin and the volume line, such as new clients or subscribers a month.
- Check How it is worked out for the formula, then press Copy result to keep the model.
How much does X pay creators in 2026?
X's Creator Revenue Sharing program closed on September 7, 2026. The Original Content Rewards Program replaced it, and pays on original posts according to the Verified Home Timeline impressions they get from Premium subscribers. The amount depends on those impressions, so it varies by account and by month.
Payouts are one line of income. The others depend on what an audience buys, and those are what this calculator models.
How does the calculator work out revenue?
Each way to earn has its own short chain. Services: conversations × book a call × close rate gives clients, and clients × deal value gives gross. Sponsorships: slots × slots sold × price. Membership: starting members, less cancellations, plus new members, × the monthly price.
From gross, the calculator takes away the direct costs you enter to give contribution, and divides contribution by gross for the margin. Every line of the formula is shown under the results.
How do X Subscriptions work?
X Subscriptions let followers pay a monthly fee for subscriber-only posts, replies and chats. The creator sets the price. It is separate from the impressions-based payouts, and it keeps running alongside them.
In the calculator, the X Subscriptions model multiplies followers by the share who subscribe and by the monthly price, then takes away the fees you expect to pay to X and the app stores.
